We waren niet helemaal te vreden over de wat platte boven zijde. Met Pur-schuim is dit weer opgeschuimd.

The top shape was a bitt flat, we like a more round shape so we poured some foam.

We gebruiken radius mallen van zeer hoge precisie. We hebben de Heineken-radius, aardbeien-pap en choco pap radiusen.

We use radius templates of very high precision. We got the "Heineken-radius", strawberry and chocolate radii.

In de neuskegel komen toegangs luiken te zitten, die hier zijn afgetekend.

De echte neuscone bestond uit 2 delen, die we nu met pur tot 1 deel hebben gemaakt.

De neus krijgt een inspectie luik.
De buitenhuid van het luik, kan alvast gemaakt worden in de juiste kromming

Het buiten contour frezen we in de huid.

The outer contour is milled.

Het luik wordt er uit verwijderd en de rest in vorm geschuurd.

The hatch opening is removed and the remaining is sanded into the right shape.

Het verwijderde schuim wordt verlijmd met het glas paneel.
(Ja, hij ligt niet, dat zie ik ook wel !!)

The removed foam is micro'ed to the skin.
(yeah.. I know the foam doesn't fit between the lines in this picture)

Het schuim wordt in model geschuurd.

The hatch core is sanded into shape.

De binnenzijde van de bovenkant van de neus wordt geglast.

The inside of the nose top is glassed.

Beide zijde van het luik zijn nu geglast.

Both side of the hatch has been glased.

Dit is nu de bedoeling.

This is the purpose of all the trouble described above.!

De GPS en GSM antenne's worden in het schuim ingefreest.

The GPS and GSM antenna are milled into the foam.

De randen van het luik worden met mico ingesmeerd en het luik wordt pas geschuurd.

The contour of the hatch is microed and sanded to a perfect fit.

Correct dit is geen Cozy onderdeel, dit is een bumper van een VW polo.
Bepaalde iemanden dachten dat wij dit ook wel zouden kunnen !!

And YES we could!!

Na het met grof geweld schuren en lamineren, was de bumper weer als nieuw.
(Wat een beetje afpersing al niet te weeg brengt, maar we doen het graag voor jouw !!)

De zijkant is aan de buitenzijde in vorm, nu de binnenkant nog.

The outside is OK now the inside.

Een beetje passen en meten.

Dan nu het definitieve model er aanbrengen en glassen .

Just sanding and glassing the stuff and the nose sides are finished.

De neuscone zoals je hem nooit meer zult zien. We plaatsen de zijwanden echter 1 voor 1 zodat er een beter glas tape verbinding tot stand komt.

We didn't construct the nose in the complete shape as it is on the picture. We like a good taped construction.
So we do it side by side at the time.

80% van de micro die je ziet gebruik je als plamuur voor andere delen.

Alle onderdelen met tape aan elkaar zetten voor de juiste vorm.

Het leiding werk voor de pitot, wordt in de zijwand gefreest.

De cone is in de vorm geschuurd en met micro bestreken.

Deze mal is in 15 min in elkaar gezet, om het scharnier punt te kunnen bepalen.

A "stick model" will help us to position the hatch and it's hinge position.
